I started using this product every other day. I put it on my whole face, except around my eyes, at night before I go to bed. I rarely get a pimple anymore and when I do it's gone by the next morning and my blackheads have almost completely disappeared. My pores are normal sized now and only visible if I put my face all the way up to the mirror. I have tried a lot of products and had pretty much given up when I found this. The only other things I use for skin care are witch hazel, a light non-oily lotion, and a gentle homemade soap. People are always remarking about what beautiful skin I have now! I highly reccomend this stuff! © 1998-2005 Skin Care Rx, LLC - All Rights Reserved Terms of Use :: Security Information :: Privacy Policy :: Site Map

Or read on for additional suggestions submitted by eHow users: 9 tips from eHow users: 1. Exfoliating sensitive skin mikayla H. It's best for sensitive skin to use a face cleanser that has gentle oats in it that mildly exfoliate skin. Wet the skin. Apply cleanser to your face in circular motions. Rinse with lukewarm water (it's not as harsh on the skin) and pat dry. Moisturize. Rate this tip: 2. A new way to exfoliate Donna Mix baking soda and moisturizing lotion together to form a thick paste. Wet face with warm water and rub mixture on your face in a cicular motion. This make a wonderful and cheap alternative. Rate this tip: 3. Baking Soda Alison Add a little water to a tablespoon or so of baking soda in the palm of one hand, to make a thick paste. Then, close your eyes and rub this over your nose and face just like it's soap or cleanser. This works really well. Rate this tip: 4. Heavenly Sugar Veronica If you have thick, oily skin, try this every other week. Wet your face, apply some moisturizing soap or liquid face cleanser, and rub gently. With a soapy face, apply sugar with gentle circular movements (mostly on the nose or where you have acne). Wash it off, dry it, and apply a moisturizing face cream. Do it at night, right before you go to sleep. Rate this tip: 5. How to exfoliate your face Sue H. A good cream, like Ponds cold cream, mixed with fine salt and rubbed gently into the skin makes a great exfoliant. Take care not to rub harder than your skin can bear. This mix gets rid of all those nasty clogged pores around the nose and chin. Sit in a warm bath before using the exfoliant (to open the pores). Salt is an antiseptic, too. This mix is much cheaper than the expensive creams, which actually have very little effect. Rate this tip: 6. Old fashioned corn meal scrub Teresa B. I mix a teaspoon of plain cornmeal with a little generic Cetaphil or creamy body wash in my palm, then I gently work it on my face in small circular motions. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. For a little toner lift, dampen a cotton ball with Witch Hazel, swipe across the most oil prone parts of the face, and follow with a nice moisturizer while the skin is still damp. Divine! Rate this tip: 7. Sugar and lemon juice Lori If you have oily areas on your face you can make a paste with lemon juice (I use those little squeeze bottles of lemon) and sugar and massage lightly in little circles only to those areas. Then wash off and cleanse with gentle cleansers. Sugar dissolves faster than salt, so it is not harsh on the skin. If lemon juice is a little too acidic for your skin type, apply a drop or two of water to your sugar to make a paste. Try this once a a week, it will definitely help with dull skin. Rate this tip: 8. Sensitive skin I've got severely sensitive skin and I've found that a good way to exfoliate your face, while in the bath or shower is to wait until your fingers get wrinkled from the water, then rub your face gently with finger tips, allowing the lukewarm water to rinse off any dead skin. You'll be surprised at how much is removed! Rate this tip: 9. Gentle and effective eHow Friend I've not found anything better than Cetaphil for either removing makeup -even waterproof mascara and general cleansing. I have oily skin, and my husband dry, and we both swear by it. To exfoliate, pour a little baking soda in the palm of your hand and mix with Cetaphil to make a paste. Scrub away. It will not be too abrasive for most skin types, and gentle enough for reactive ones, and inexpensive to boot! To make an oil-control mask, take some Milk of Magnesia, put it on a cotton ball or your fingers, and wipe onto your face. Let it dry. Rinse with tepid water. I'm not affiliated with "The Cosmetics Cop," but found and use these tips particularly. They were encountered by reading the book, "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me", which I also recommend for anyone wanting the low-down on good makeup and skincare practices. Exfoliate Skin

How to Exfoliate Oily Skin - eHow.com Clear Instructions on How To Do (just about) Everything Web eHow.com Home Personal Care & Style Center Grooming How to Exfoliate Oily Skin When you exfoliate, you gently abrade the skin and remove the top layer of dead cells. Exfoliating helps to hide fine wrinkles and gives your skin a rosy glow. Steps: 1. Wet your body in the tub or shower. 2. Use a synthetic scrubbing sponge, exfoliating gloves or a body loofah. 3. Apply an exfoliating cleanser to your skin or sprinkle it onto your sponge. Some exfoliating cleansers contain as much as 25-percent ground volcanic rock; these are good for oily skin. However, cleansers that dry out oily skin too much can have a rebound effect, causing glands to overproduce oil. 4. Scrub the exfoliating cleanser over your skin using your sponge or loofah; make circular motions. 5. Be gentle over sensitive parts of the body, like delicate neck and thigh tissue. 6. Rinse skin thoroughly. 7. Be sure to follow up with a good moisturizer. Exfoliating dries out your skin. 8. Choose a lotion that is light in petroleum, lanolin and mineral oils. Non-comedogenic lotions - those designed specifically to prevent the formation of pimples - are best. Tips: Do not over-exfoliate your skin. Although exfoliating will make your skin less oily, it can also cause it to crack. Overly vigorous exfoliating can even break the tiny blood vessels under your skin. Tips from eHow Users: Debstar's Tip by debby D. Clinique's Exfoliating Scrub (light green tube) is a great scrub to use and is effective Rate this tip: Exfoliation and contact lenses by eHow Friend Please, use care if you are a contact lens wearer, particularly rigid gas permeable varieties, with exfoliants. The tiny particles of silica, clay, rock, corncob, can lodge underneath the lens and scratch your cornea! And keep your eyes shut while rinsing, and rinse well, as the particles can run down your face into your eyes from your forehead, even if you're careful around your eyes. This may seem self-evident, but you can't be too careful with your eyes!
