Do you want smooth silky skin? Try this! (Boy I sound like a commercial.) Full Review I love coconuts. I go crazy when I hear about coconut smoothies, coconut lotions and creams. When I see coconuts at the supermarket, I stick 2-3 in our basket and tell my parents I'll eat every single piece of it. I never really go into The Body Shop because everything is expensive and I don't have a lot of money. (Does everyone see how I'm writing a lot more on this thing?) They were having a sale on "Body Butters." I have VERY dry skin, especially in the winter and summer. The winter my skin gets all dry from not moisturizing enough and the summer I am usually in the sun and it dries out my skin. I use sugar scrubs in the winter but I hate scraping my sunburn in the summer. I like using creams that will make my gross flaky skin turn as smooth as a baby's bottom. I like smelly coconut ones too. :o) But I don't want to feel like a total greaseball after I put it on. At The Body Shop I looked at the trial size body butters but I figured I should just get the big one because it was a better value. I wound up buying a 6.9 oz for $15 instead of a whopping $20. (I'm THE BEST bargain hunter.) I asked a worker what I can get for dry skin and she handed me a pair of $2 exfoliating gloves. (I guess she figured I was a teenager and didn't have cash - I had $40 on me.) I was like No, no hunny I would like a cream. So then she gave me a trial size $7 coconut cream body butter. Lets see - spend $8 more and get 6.9 oz? So that is what I did. It is a brown circular "tub" looking thing. (Don't you love the way I describe things?) You twist on and off the cap. I wish it was in a bottle, but it's like "butter" so I guess that's why is ISN'T in a bottle. The Coconut Cream In three words it is : WHITE - THICK - CREAMY. After a shower I open this stuff up, sit on my bed, put some into my hands and rub it on my legs, arms, chest, stomach, etc. It DOES NOT have a greasy, oily feeling. That is a good thing. Who wants to walk around looking like they are satuarated in oil. (Looks like me when I come home from the gym!) The cream goes right on and your skin feels so hydrated and sexy. No more flakes for me! The coconut scent is long-lasting. (It reminds me of the coconut rum Malibu.) You can put it on at 9:00 a.m and still smell it at 2:00 p.m.(It's like a little perfume!) Your skin feels silky smooth the next day. This is perfect for dates, just slap some on your hands and elbows and WHOOLAH - you have soft, silky, sexy skin. (I would know!) I don't have to use my sugar scrub as much. (Which is great because it's a crapload of money.) Another thing, it is GREAT on sunburn. I went to the beach and got sunburn all over my feet. I put on the coconut cream and sprayed Solarcaine on top of it. The next day my feet aren't RED and don't bother me when I wear shoes. The ingredients are on the bottom on the tub. water, coconut oil, cyclomethicone, shea butter, glycerin, cocoa butter, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, cetearyl alcohol, lanolin alcohol, phenoxyethanol, fragrance, methylparaben, propylparaben, xanthan gum, benzyl alcohol, disodium EDTA, sodium hydroxide, caramel. Pros A. Smells great and lasts long. B. Thick & Creamy C. 6.9 oz - will last me awhile. D. Not greasy/oily. E. Makes my skin feel hydrated, sexy, and not flaky. Cons Okay, $15 is a LITTLE steep. But I'm cheap. Last Comments This stuff is my favorite. I love everything about it. If you don't like coconuts, it's really simple, don't buy this. The best candidates for microdermabrasion are individuals with acne prone and blotchyskin, small scars, rhytides, keratoses, large pores, milia, or sebaceoushyperplasia. Ifyou have sun damage or uneven texture and would like to improve the condition of yourskin, you may be a good candidate for Microdermabrasion. The treatmentstypically last 20 to 30 minutes for the face, if your treatment includes the neck and upperchest area, it may last up to an hour. Avoid full face make-up , i.e. liquid foundations or pressed powder foundations for 24 hours after a treatment. Eye make-up, lipstick etc. may be applied immediately after a treatment. What Results Are Gained FromMicrodermabrasion? Your skin will feel vibrant and healthy and you will noticean immediate difference in your softer, smoother skin. There is virtually no recoverytime, no discomfort and you can return to work immediately. A series of microdermabrasion treatments can help reduce the look offine lines and superficial wrinkles, remove thickened skin areas due to the impact ofenvironmental factors and reduce the appearance of blemishes caused by sun damage. Additionally, microdermabrasion can reduce the appearance of open pores by uncloggingsebum (oil) build-up and eliminate white and black heads. WhatCan't Microdermabrasion Do? Please be advised, raised or deeply pitted skin areas(possibly from old severe acne scars) and darker pigmented areas will require multipletreatments. Something like 80 companies manufacturing 2 to 4 per company.The originating company is reportedly either Dermagenesis or Power Peel. Who knows, they both say they are. Many copy cat companiesand machines have since blossomed and their is no regulation for what you should receivefor your dollar. Some are better, some stink! I personally have the mostexperience with the SmartPeel System(salon strength). Doctors, aestheticians and spas charge you anywhere from $75. to $200. asession. Their machines, however, cost as much as $30,000. to as little as $2000. It is ashame because the average consumer does not know this and in a nut shell could bepaying as high as $200. a treatment by a $2000. machine. The aluminum oxide (Al2O3) crystals (Corundum) cost anywhere from $5. a lb. to $45. for 15 lbs. You are paying for the machine not the crystals. And don't think there aren't people outthere who don't give a second thought to taking advantage of you. There are far too manypeople doing this to the innocent everyday . The only way you can avoid this is tobe aware of the different machines and call around for a good deal or buy"packages." If you are lucky to get this machine you are paying for quality. - BellaMed (medical grade) - Belladerma (salon grade - 3 models) You may not be able to pick and choose your choice ofmachines, but you can make sure that whatever machines they do have are sterile . Ask howthey crystals are replenished. The best machines have closed systems that the crystalcontainers are never refilled, only changed out. You see, the better machines offer theircrystals or are compatible with companies who sell crystals that are sold in thecontainers that you see on the side of the machine so that the old, usedcrystals are thrown away in its own container and a new, empty sterile container replacesthe old one for easy clean up and the new filled container replaces the empty,spent one.
