(Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews This is a really fantastic cream. I absolutely love the elegant scent and rich consistency of this cream. I was given a sample of it, and I'm addicted. I plan to spend the money on a full size container as soon as the sample runs out. The 50 ml sample has lasted quite a while! I'm not worried about spending a little more than I normally would on the full size, since I know it will last a long time. A little bit of this fabulous cream seems to go a long way, because it is so rich and luxurious. It's not greasy or oily and absorbs quickly when applied. I use it as both a body cream and a hand cream and I've found that it works very well for both. It keeps my skin moisturized, which is great in cold weather since the indoor "dry heat" causes my skin to get very dry. Once again, the smell is really wonderful. Graham Easton PROGRAMME DETAILS Tuesday 14 January 2003 Plaque Psoriasis Rashes Most of us will develop a skin rash at some time but were often left wondering what its called, what caused it and how to make it disappear. In Case Notes , presenter Dr Graham Easton hears how doctors make sense of your rash, give it a fancy name and try to treat it. GPs see an awful lot of skin rashes in the surgery, most of which are either fungal infections or eczema. Dr Keith Hopcroft, a GP in Essex, gives the GPs view on skin rashes in adults very few are serious, and most either go away of their own accord or disappear with the help of a topical cream. He feels the general public is often unnecessarily alarmed by rashes as a result of publicity surrounding the rash associated with meningitis. He assigns the meningitis tumbler test to the diagnostic dustbin, and says the test is the Sinclair C5 of medical checks an apparently brilliant idea which is utterly useless. Grahams studio guest, dermatologist Dr Sarah Wakelin, explains the detective work that doctors have to do in order to get the diagnosis of a skin rash right. Is it all just pattern recognition and experience, or can patients identify their own rashes using books and flow charts? Step one is simply to describe what you see flat rashes are called macules, raised rashes are called papules, and blistering rashes are called bullous or vesicular. Is there any itching or fever with it? This sort of information can help doctors (and patients) to distinguish a viral rash from an allergic rash or even a rash associated with more general ill-health. Graham also explores some of the latest treatments for rashes, with reports on a specialist psoriasis clinic, and some new drugs for dermatitis which could be a safer alternative to steroids.
