Your skin will be evaluated by a licensed esthetician, and they will discuss your skin care goals. If appropriate, a program of treatments will be offered to you and a complete medical history will be taken. The cost of the care will be explained and you will be given a consent form to read and sign before your sessions begin. How Does It Work? Microdermabrasion uses Corundum crystals to aggressively exfoliate away the dull layer of dead skin, smooth and retexturize, leaving the skin soft and glowing. A slight vacuum is also present to remove the exfoliated cells and Corundum from your skin surface. Two effects on your skin: Smooth, retexturized and gently buffed skin. The skin perceives the Corundum particle exfoliation as an injury and your skin starts producing new fresh cells more rapidly. It is an exciting way to awaken Nature's rejuvenation within your skin. What To Expect. You will first have your skin cleansed and toned with gentle care by our esthetic staff. The microdermabrasion session will last approximately 30 minutes for a full face treatment. It is wise to consider doing the neck area as well for people concerned with aging. Other typical areas to perform microdermabrasion on include the decollete (for women wanting a smooth cleavage), and the hands, which frequently show signs of aging. Note : Microdermabrasion can be done on almost any part of the body. After the procedure, you will have a cool towel wrap applied to the area treated. This will assist your skin in recovery. A Copper Peptide Lotion will be applied to help stimulate collagen production. Finally, a sunscreen will be applied to help preserve the results and prevent severe sunburn. Follow up home care instructions for your skin type will be reviewed. A microderm kit will be offered to you for your maintenance home care. I've used other Nivea products for a while, and when I heard about their Men's line of shaving products, I hoped for the best. Without a doubt this is the best after-shave lotion I have ever tried. I've tried name brands and generics, but nothing comes close to soothing my skin without smelling like a chemical vat. There is a faint scent with this product, but it's a mild, clean smell that doesn't threaten to offend. I think the bottle design is great, though the chump who gave it a bad review because he dropped it should probably invest in some hand towels for his bathroom before he hurts himself again. While I don't use it everday, I use it regularly and when needed. I use an electric shaver which often leaves my face dry and slightly irritated. This Nivea after shave is wonderful. It only takes a small amount to cover my whole face and neck. It leaves me refreshed and smooth feeling. Sometimes I'll leave the house and forget to put it on, and I'll go all the way back just to put it on. It gets your day off to a great start. No funky smells or textures here. Not sure how to use it at first, I experimented a bit and I just love melting it a little under warm water and rubbing it over a wet face. It's like cleansing with melted chocolate. I then use a warm cotton cloth and wipe of the excess. It does get makeup off extraordinarily well, moisturises as it cleanses. After pregnancy and during nursing my sensitive and hormonal skin was dry and peeling and sore. I also used it in conjunction with Imperialis (wonderful balancer), and alternate this at night with Angels on Bare Skin in the morning (also dreamy!). I figured out that the best way (for me, I wear light makeup with super stay on mascara) is to wet my face, roll the bar directly onto the face, gently massage into skin, and gently wipe with a warm, wet soft cotton towel. Whips makeup and grime off the face, and leaves a nice film of moisturizer on the face that turns into an unbelievable morning glow (not the shiny kind that ruins makeup application, the inner glow kind). The first time I used it, I felt that the film it left on my skin felt heavy, but my combination skin now feels balanced and wonderful under my makeup all day - my face doesn't get as shiny, I blot less. Now my routine before going to bed is Baby Face + Eye Cream. Baby Face also lasts forever, and it fits in the tiny LUSH solid shampoo tin, so it's easy to throw in my bag when I'm traveling - GREAT for the day after a long plane ride. It's great because it really moisturizes your face while it cleanses, which makes it perfect for washing off all that makeup before bed and then going to sleep with a blissfully moisturized face. However, you might feel a little sticky (it took a little getting used to for me) but if you're going to sleep anyway, it won't matter. You'll wake up with happier skin in the morning!
